These bookshelves were described as the entertainment center for the home, designed by Paul McCobb specifically for Alside Homes Inc., they are typical to all Alside models. They did vary in size from one bay – up to three bays depending on the size of the home.

 Frost Bookshelves

The painted backboard is original to the house, along with the three No# 9 lamp by Isamu Noguchi, three-slender-legged cherrywood table lamps, designed for Knoll in the mid-1940s, each on lighting up the built-in shelving in the evenings adding a soft glow to the living room.

Below are some images of the bookshelves and reading nook, from when we moved into the house in May 2016, showing how the room looked when the Frost’s lived in the home.
