We are frequently asked to share a floor plan of the house, and here it is. This plan below is a little different, as our home included the optional closed patio and garage.

AlsideHomePlan

This an additional floor plan – is more inline with our house, only difference are it has been flipped, and doesn’t include the enclosed patio off the family room.

There were 22 models in total ranging in price from $16,000 to $40,000 in 1963-1964.

The floor plans were varied from small vacation homes, to split level, multi-storey family homes, and including our favorite the ‘gallery’ home.

These homes would have be a splendid afternoon of activity to go and visit when they first came on the market. Their modern lines and conveniences, coupled with their striking colored panels. Recently we discovered that the homes were to be offered in 41 color options too [according to an article we found in House & Home Magazine Sept. ’61].

When the homes went on display ….

…… public showings drew 50,000 visitors in Akron and 60,000 in Detroit. The Akron Beacon-Journal and Detroit News carried slick-paper supplements advertising the models, and one New York securities house told clients: “There should be a more than adequate market for such a pre-fab that can be tailored to meet space and layout requirements, a home which can be bought in much the same manner as an automobile”. – House & Home Magazine Sept. ’64
